Hi Scrappy friends,
The Scrap the Boys challenge for May was to be inspired by Mother's Day.
I have scrapped a photo with my four boys that was taken a few years ago now... it is so hard to get photos of them all together.
I started with a Kraft cardstock base and once again went to my scrap basket pulling out scraps in red, aqua and woodgrain to create my layers.
I did a little stamping in the background and added some Dylusions spray ink for some background interest.
What challenges are inspiring you to get scrapbooking this month? Leave me a comment I would love to see some more challlenges.
Happy Scrapping

Kraft Plus May Challenge - Outside the Box
I kept it simple and went with circle photos(baby steps people). I cracked out my Stampin' Up circle cutter (a tool that has not seen the light of day for quite a few years) and got to it. I also used my Stampin' Up starburst circle dies (love them). I used some Dylusions Ink in teal and orange to create some splotches in my background and set to layering circles.
And this was the end result of all those circles.. and I have to admit I do kinda like it
I have been on a bit of a stash busting mission of late so those papers are all from my scrap basket (mostly Kaisercraft Technologic).
I added some extra detail with circle and star wood veneer from Flutterby Designs plus the gorgeous You are My Happy title is also from Flutterby. I am trying to use some of my wood veneer titles as well instead of just hoarding them. I am a work in progress.
I have also used some word stickers from Cocoa Vanilla Studios and cork arrows from American Crafts.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my entry for this months' challenge.

White With 1 May Challenge
The May challenge at White with 1 was an interesting one ..white with deep black.
I raided my scrap bin and embellishment basket for anything black and set to work.
My first step was to add some paint to my white background and then build on the layers with a plus sign stencil from Flutterby Designs.
I have also used some word strips from Flutterby Designs and some embellishments from the Cocoa Vanilla Studio You Rock Collection. The title is from a previous Cocoa Vanilla Studio collection. I love their boy collections - probably has something to do with the fact that I am a Mumma to four boys.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my entry. I hope you join in this month too.
