He's Got Swagger

Hi there,

Today I am sharing a layout created for Funky Flairs Studio using the awesome Wild One flair set.

I created my background with Dina Wakley paint in Night and then added a little stencilling with a crackle stencil and Dylusions paint in White Linen.

I stamped my background with my fresh out of the packet Dina Wakley stamp set Grungy Stars. I think I might have a new fave. Love stars for boy pages. I added a bit of extra stamping with an old Kaisercraft grid stamp.

I also added some gyprock tape and washi tape to my background for extra texture and interest. Next up I created some paper layers around my photo using Shimelle's Go Now Go collection and a newsprint tag from American crafts.

And then it was time to embellish.

I have used:

Potty People and tab wood veneer from Studio Calico
Star wood veneer from Flutterby Designs
Word strips and letter stickers from Flutterby Designs
Denim star embellishment from Charms Creations
Enamel stars from Shimelle, American Crafts
Black Enamel thickers from American Crafts
and of course two awesome flairs from Funky Flairs Studio

And here is my layout "My Crew"

I created my background with spray inks applied with the packaging technique. The circular element used drizzled black pant.

My first ever post for Funky Flair Studio - Dreamer

I am so excited to share today my first ever post for Funky Flair Studio as part of the Design Team.

You may have noticed I have been using their Flair and kits for a while so when the lovely Evie (owner of Funky Flair Studio) put up a call for new Design Team members I was quick to send through some samples. When my first package of flair arrived it was happy days indeed.

But enough rambling, here is my share

I have used the gorgeous Indigo Blue Kit from the shop. These kits are limited edition with each release. I loved the gorgeous blues in this kit.

Here is a closer look

This little silver arrow was just so cute

Thanks for checking out my first DT share.

Don't forget to share your projects using Funky Flair products in the facebook group. I would love to see what you are creating.

White with 1 - Feb 2018

Woohoo it's a new month which means lots of new challenges.

The White With 1 challenge this month is a sketch combined with Sizzling Pink.

I decided to scrapbook some goofy snapchat photos of myself

My background has some paint scraped across using Dylusions in Bubblegum pink. Next I added some washi and gyprock tape for added texture. I used doilies for the circular elements of the sketch.

I painted a gorgeous chipboard circle element in white and cut it up to use in all the different sections of the page - (2Crafty Star Bubble Set).

I have added a puffy sticker "Laugh" and some hearts which were from Heidi Swapp.

I added in some cut-aparts from Flutterby Designs.

The stitched circle stamp I have used in my background is from Kaisercraft.

Please feel free to ask me if you would like details on any of the other elements on my layout.

I hope you will play along with us this month at White with 1.

Happy Scrapping.

Flawsome

Hi there,

Today I am sharing some layouts created with products from Flutterby Designs.

This was a class kit designed by the amazing Anita Rodway  but my layouts kinda morphed in a different direction.

The first layout "Amazing" features a gorgeous black acrylic title.

and a closer look at the paint and stencilling in the background.

And the second layout "Not even diamonds are perfect".

The Everyday etc cards in this collection are just stunning.

Anita is the queen of colour and the Flawsome Collection featured in these layouts is just beautiful.  Click here to check out the Flutterby Designs shop.

Thanks for stopping by.

Scrap the Boys December ..Christmas Maybe

Hi there,
This month's inspiration piece at Scrap the Boys is just gorgeous. Check it out:

So cute right! The layouts by the Design Team this month are just stunning as well.

I tried to achieve a similar look to the tree with my Dylusions Mists. Of course it went horribly wrong as my colours starting mixing so to salvage the layout I decided to go crazy with the buttons, brads and other embellies. The end result was pretty cute (the cute little guy missing his front teeth doesn't hurt :)

And a bit of a closer look

This was such a fun challenge to play along with.

Scrap the Boys November

Hi there scrappy peeps,

This month's challenge at Scrap the Boys is a moodboard

And here is my effort, starting with a Kraft background and Dylusions paint in Cut Grass.

And a bit of a closer look.

This was a lot of fun to make and I always love it when I get some old stash used (like the 7 Gypsies Black Photo turns used here).

White With 1 November

Hi there,
It has been a while between challenges for me but I was determined to give this month's White with 1 challenge a go.

How bright and cheery is this colour - it just makes me happy.

Here is my layout:

I started with Dylusions Paint in Pure Sunshine spread with a credit card on my background and layered a Tim Holtz stencil with some texture paste and stamps from Kaisercraft. I loved the contrast of the blue in my photo with the background.

I built up some layers of patterned papers from my scrap basket (there is even some Sassafrass Lass in the mix).  I have used some of my Flutterby embellishments and some bits and pieces of wood veneer to finish off.

Thanks for stopping by.

June White with One Challenge

Hi guys,

This month at White with 1 the colour of choice is Teal Sequins. So pretty...but surprisingly hard to find in my stash. I may have to remedy that serious deficiency.

This month we also have sketch to get us started:

Here is my page:

I have used Teal paint from Dylusions through a chevron stencil for my background and then added some bits and pieces from Flutterby Designs.

Thanks for stopping by

Scrap the Boys May Challenge

Hi Scrappy friends,

The Scrap the Boys challenge for May was to be inspired by Mother's Day.

I have scrapped a photo with my four boys that was taken a few years ago now... it is so hard to get photos of them all together.

I started with a Kraft cardstock base and once again went to my scrap basket pulling out scraps in red, aqua and woodgrain to create my layers.

I did a little stamping in the background and added some Dylusions spray ink for some background interest.

What challenges are inspiring you to get scrapbooking this month? Leave me a comment I would love to see some more challlenges.

Happy Scrapping

Kraft Plus May Challenge - Outside the Box

Anyone that know my scrapbooking style knows that shaped photos are not my thing ..................at all. So the May Kraft Plus challenge to use a photo that was not a rectangle or square was just that.. a challenge.

I kept it simple and went with circle photos(baby steps people). I cracked out my Stampin' Up circle cutter (a tool that has not seen the light of day for quite a few years) and got to it. I also used my Stampin' Up starburst circle dies (love them). I used some Dylusions Ink in teal and orange to create some splotches in my background and set to layering circles.

And this was the end result of all those circles.. and I have to admit I do kinda like it

I have been on a bit of a stash busting mission of late so those papers are all from my scrap basket (mostly Kaisercraft Technologic).

I added some extra detail with circle  and star wood veneer from Flutterby Designs plus the gorgeous You are My Happy title is also from Flutterby. I am trying to use some of my wood veneer titles as well instead of just hoarding them. I am a work in progress.

I have also used some word stickers from Cocoa Vanilla Studios and cork arrows from American Crafts.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my entry for this months' challenge.

Happy Scrapping
